Android threats are a serious business. Among them is the Blue Ducky script, which exploits the CVE-2023-45866 Android device vulnerability.

By running the Blue Ducky script, an attacker can:

  1. Inject keystrokes and thus control the device
  2. Load saved Bluetooth devices that are no longer visible but have Bluetooth still enabled.
  3. Automatically save any devices you scan.
  4. Send messages via ducky script format to interact with devices.

Thankfully, this vulnerability was published and fixed at the end of 2023, underscoring the importance of regular updates and security patches. Nonetheless, this is just one example from the vast world of threats that can target Android.

Join the host of the Unlocked 403 cybersecurity podcast Alžbeta Kovaľová as she talks with ESET Senior Malware Researcher Lukáš Štefanko about the dangers of Android threats and how one can protect oneself. Watch as they walk through three different demonstrations of infiltrating and taking control of Android devices, stressing the importance of awareness and strong mobile security solutions
