Batsuits have had the tendency to woo fans with every new iteration of a Batman movie, and so has the Batmobile. The first batmobile to become famous around the world was the Lincoln Futura from the 1960s’ Batman movies and TV shows.
The Lincoln Futura defined what a Batmobile would be for many years to come. It had gadgets like a nose-mounted aluminum Cable Cutter Blade, a Bat Ray Projector, an Anti-Theft Device, a Detect-a-scope, a Batscope, a Bat Eye Switch, an Antenna Activator, a Police Band Cut-In Switch, Automatic Tire Inflation Device, Remote Batcomputer, the Batphone, Emergency Bat Turn Lever, Anti-Fire Activator, Bat Smoke, Bat Photoscope, and many other Bat gadgets.
The Futura Batmobile was also capable of 180° bat-turn which was done using two parachutes mounted in the rear. With the advent of time, some extra gadgets were also included in the Batmobile like a net in the trunk, remote-controlled driving, a rear-facing camera under the turbine exhaust port, and the Bat Ram.
After going for a Jeep Renegade in Batman vs. Superman, Bruce Wayne finally got himself a ride which suits him a bit more, the Mercedes-AMG Vision Gran Turismo. Zack Snyder turned to Gran Turismo to find inspiration for what Batman’s next ride should be. Since the car only exists in the game, the entire interiors had to be fabricated from scratch.
Also in the film, Diana Prince would be seen driving the Mercedes E-Class convertible which in the words of Gal Gadot is,”very elegant, not too flashy, very chic.” Just like her, we’d say.
Justice League will also feature the Mercedes G-Class 4×42 in addition to the Vision Gran Turismo and the E-Class Convertible. Justice League is set to launch on the 17th of November and we can’t wait.
